apt-proxy worked extremely well a few years ago. I am sure it has only gotten better. Just pick a computer with some disk space to to be your apt-proxy, point all your computers to it for updates, and apt-proxy handles the rest. It is very fun watching computers pull via local ethernet at 10-100 Mbits for updates.
